Interesting cover. JTE looks like such a rebellious country singer with graffiti, only not too daring (or gangsta) since it’s not actually violating a public building or anything. Is that “thing” in the background meant to display some sort of gender ambiguity? I can’t figure out if it’s a man or woman. Maybe that has something to do with the “Nothings going to change the way you feel about me now”… that I’m a cross-dresser. ??
I think the “thing” in the background is a woman…it only looks like she’s jacked because her image is slightly transparent, thus you can see faintly the letters behind her, which just happen to be where you would have shadow if you were an incredibly muscular woman or a dude dressed up as a lady. Yeah, you are so right about the graffiti…it’s pretty lame. Has anyone heard the album? Pretty different from his other stuff. A lot of horns…I’m somewhat disappointed…JTE has some really great stuff, but this is just a bit too strange for his niche. I like the song “Memphis in the Rain” and “Look the other way.” I like his more folky gospely songs.
