Kansas

Back in Kansas, here are some initial observations:

There are Crushers in Kansas!
There is a red cicada infestation in Kansas!
It is difficult being in Kansas City Royals territory!

Ride-Share

If anyone on the East Coast needs a ride up to Boston for Peter Kane’s stateside wedding celebration I will be leaving from DC.

I will also be leaving from DC to go to Sercer/Papania wedding, and would love to save money on gas if anyone wants to go with me.  I’ll be going on to Dallas after the wedding, and then Santa Fe, and then eventually Phoenix.

Let me know if there’s someone that would be interested in sharing a ride, saving a buck, and taking part in an epic journey.  I can tailor the ride to suit your needs (i.e. going to Austin rather than Dallas, etc.).

Cheers,

Peter Bloch

P.S. – What’s the hotel situation in Georgia?

Summertime, Travels and Adventures

Hello Dear Ones,

Spring has passed, the winter is long passed, and summer is now upon us–dangling over us, not quite here, but already here.  And I have started to make arrangements and schemes: traveling to far off places!  There will be adventures, speeches, sketching, seeing old and new faces, gaining knowledge, and talking with Chris Brown.  So many things are in store for us this summer, and I am excited and terrified to experience them.

This is going to be one of the busiest summers I’ve ever had.  I’m going to be travelling over 9,000 miles, 6.5k of that in a little car I have named Benji Compson (see The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner).  Also, it smells like trees  😉

In any case, I wanted to see what your plans were and if you might be in these places at any time?

I apologize to those who’s weddings I will not be able to attend this summer.  You can only do so much in one summer, you know?  In any case, I would be ever so grateful if anyone could help me find a place to stay in Seattle while I am doing my studies.  Also please let me know if you are going to be in these places at all this summer.  I am a social animal, and I delight in seeing people.

Planning and getting pretty hungry and wanting to go to Chipotle now,

Peter
