I Know this is a Purely Academic Forum but…

Is anyone in town for Groundhog? There is an Alumni contingency forming.

Why is "Josh Neu face" a label on this post?" By the way, I'll be having the hog by myself in Philly.

What is groundhog going to do without Annehog?

If you mean in Dallas… I live in Fort Worth but I am supposed to work that night… but my mom told me to call in with an excuse. Would Abe Lincoln do that? No. Would I do it if I had more nerve? Maybe. Will I do it as I am now? Good question

I'm having the hog in Claremont with a couple of my friends. I bought one of those Heineken Mini-Kegs and we're going to have it at breakfast… I wonder if I should introduce "Beer Wheaties" to these guys. Anyway, hope everyone has a good one, especially rocking out to Boot Hill since I can't be there and do it for you.

P.S.- Mary, I'm studying politics at Claremont, and I know for a FACT that Abe Lincoln would be at this hog if he were still alive

Well. I had the hog in Phoenix, and the next thing I know, I'm a bar with an outdoor patio, we're playing bocce ball and randomly run into a group. They are an engagement party. We then proceed to indoctrinate their group on the wonders of Groundhog celebrations. They really liked it, and so there we all were, a bunch of complete strangers having a blast together on Groundhog day. Pretty legit. They were Catholic as it turns out, and so we're going to try to get together again and hang out at an Irish pub or play some more bocce ball.

Long live the tradition of Groundhog, and I also say long live the spread of the tradition to outside the bubble and beyond; everyone needs something to celebrate in February.
