A review of The Hobbit worth reading

My soon to be brother in law, Joseph Simmons wrote a very insightful and hilarious review of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.

Some Art Goodness

How do you do?

I bring two gifts for you today: poetry and painting.

I came across a couple of our friend John Hogan’s poems online–Columbia has undoubtedly improved his craft!

If you haven’t had a chance to delve into Mike Horan’s poetry and fiction yet, you need to.  Go HERE.

As far as painting: I came across a realist artist painting in a Wyeth-like fashion.  Lauren Tilden’s paintings deal with man’s relationship to God, nature, and internal turmoil.  Her work is haunting and beautiful in a washed out kind of way.

I hope that this art will lift you up.
